Eric Alan Woo - 20 Years Old

No it's not my birthday, that was on the 21st. Today marks two years for this blog. It all started when school was coming to a close and the Class of 2004 was about to graduate.

What a big step we thought that was, perhaps still the biggest to some...
Such a dramatic change if we were to compare then and now. Hopefully we've grown up atleast a little, learned something new, done new things. Hopefully some of us have gone on to do better things or atleast do things that they enjoy.

To another year full of suprises, ups and down, and all things that are good.

Update: V-Dub

An update to my post V-Dub, just a few down the page.

Turns out those crash commercials are actual crashes.

Crazy.

Wooday

Happy Wooday to me! It's my 20th birthday today, huzzah.

On another note, snipers are so awesome.

Hrm... this doesn't seem right

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

Should Blue Mountain really be advertising "What The Fuck?" for kids to download?

I got a good chuckle, so sure, why not. I'm sure those kids just love the happy colours.

V-Dub

So, Volkswagen has awesome commercials.

First, the ones with the crazy Russian guy that "pimps" rides. Those are awesome.

Second, on a more serious note, the crash test commercials that start off with a conversation that could normally occur and then out of nowhere a car slams into them.
Of course they're all fine because that's the idea the commercial is conveying; the cars are safe.

It reminds me of commercials I saw in Junior High created by the Australian government to promote safe driving. They were all brutally real looking such as a motorcyclist swerving between cars in traffic and getting reamed by a large truck, or the most famous of ones, a man holding a pizza and stepping out onto the road from between two cars. A car hits him, he goes flying. I'm sure you could Google it.

Anyway, my point is, I enjoy commercials that are either funny, shocking, or are simply beautiful pieces of work. Advertisement that works.

A dying hyena

Waterloo seems to be full of people that enjoy singing but God just didn't give them the talent.

Comments

So my Hotmail account now has only 483 emails.

I decided to go through and delete all the emails that Blogger sends me whenever someone comments on here.

The ridiculous part is I had over 1000 emails to start with... :P

Breaking

Great, so my Folex, or "Fauxlex" as my brother likes to say, finally broke. My "Deluxe Universal AC Adaptor" burnt out so now I have no way of plugging my speakers in... which were already dying.

The cable line in my room doesn't seem to work, all I get is the sound of channel 13 which I can only get when I sit in the menu with the VCR on.

My bag has broken twice but now that it's just been fixed I'm hoping it'll stay unbroken for a bit.

Hopefully that's all that'll break down on me.

Summer

I almost went a month without blogging. Funny that. It's approaching the two year mark for this blog and it went from multiple posts in a day to once a month.
My the times have changed.

Let's see, what happened since my last post.

Well, I finished all my exams and my marks have all come back. Winter term turned out to be 75.75% which is no improvement but no drop. My GPA is a sad 74.776, a 0.224% off of the 75% minimum I need to apply to optometry [not that one would get in with a 75%].

I went home for a week which was a much needed break. I got to see a few of my friends but it was a busy week. I spent a lot of time with my family and with my brother Ian who just finished his last year of school. He's got a job with a nice company so he's off in the right direction. Who knows if he'll be living at home still by the time I get to go back home again. I got to go shooting with Justin, Dickie, and Jeff but this time at the outdoor range outside of Calgary. It was friggin' sweet and I'm sad I'm missing out on all the fun they'll have this summer.

I'm back in Waterloo for the Spring/Summer term all the way until Christmas [where I get to go home for another week]. I'm taking two courses, one I'm repeating because I did poorly the first time around [but passed], and the second is for fun and hopefully to boost my GPA. That course is German 101. So far so good. It's actually the first course I've actually had fun learning.

So far I have no job. Frankly it's a pain in the ass being away from home to look for a job. There isn't much to choose from around here within a short distance [for I have no car and the transit system is terrible... of course compared to Calgary's].

The saddest part is Jessica is going home for the summer. At first we thought she had a job lined up for the last half of the summer but the lady never seems to get back to her so now she's off home and I'm all alone.

Maybe the next post will be sooner...
