The present is better than the past
Ever wonder why we keep things that should just be thrown out?
No. They're gone.
No. They're gone.
I don't think of the past. The only thing that matters is the everlasting present.

I've always got things that I don't want to keep... but I just don't want to throw out.
We keep things until we are ready to throw them out. If you do it before that time, you will think back and want to look at that object again and relive it's importance to you.
Should you throw it out? Does your brain tell you yes but your heart just hangs on? Are you simply delaying the future by holding on to the past? Ask yourself these things.
I have no idea what this object(s) may be. But they are important to you. Why? Do they represent a time when things were seen in a different light, a period of time where you just felt differently?
Or is this an object that is important because it reminds you of what may have been?
If they're gone, do you want to hold on this thing because you think that it may have represented an alternate future for you?
